Literary conversations on travels in Asia, led by renowned writers, provide spaces for cultural exchange, reflection and discovery. Through these discussions, authors explore not only the places they have visited, but also the encounters, social contrasts and personal transformations brought about by travel. By sharing their experiences, they reflect on the limits of language, the challenges of cultural translation and the ethical responsibility involved in representing different realities.
These conversations highlight the role of the traveler-writer as a cultural mediator, interpreting the “other” while simultaneously confronting their own identity. Travel becomes an intellectual and emotional journey that broadens horizons, both for those who write and for those who read.
With the support of Pinto Lopes Viagens.
