About the real estate portfolio
Santa Casa holds a vast real estate portfolio, mostly in Lisbon but with a presence across Portugal. Much of this portfolio comes from benefactor bequests and is managed with rigour and transparency, in service of the institution’s social mission.

You can book a visit through the Heritage Rentals page, where information on rentals and youth rentals is available, or by email at arrendamentos@scml.pt, identifying the unit you wish to visit.
You should contact the Assets Unit of the Directorate of Benefactions and Heritage describing the situation in writing (email or letter), so that the services can take the measures appropriate to the problem.

Interested parties can go directly to Santa Casa’s Treasury (Largo Trindade Coelho), handing over the desired amount, in cheque or cash, and a receipt will be issued by the Finance Directorate.
If you wish to make a donation by cheque or postal order, you should send it by post addressed to Santa Casa’s Treasury, and a receipt will subsequently be sent to you by post.
If you wish your donation to be anonymous, you may also go to a CGD branch and make the deposit or bank transfer to Santa Casa’s account at Rua do Ouro, in Lisbon, with NIB PT0035 0697 0000 5993903 07.
You should send a letter or email to the Directorate of Benefactions and Heritage, expressing interest in the donation and identifying the property, the owners and any liens or encumbrances. Together with this, you should send a copy of the tax property register, a permanent certificate from the land registry and the relevant use licence.
Once these documents are sent, the property will be assessed for decision-making purposes; the decision will subsequently be communicated to the proposer.
