Illustrated Conversations on Asia | ‘Drawing South-East Asia and Taiwan’, with Luís Bernardino

In this talk, Luís Bernardino explores Vietnam through drawing, in which pages become a territory of discovery. Through his travel sketchbooks, he records stories that weave together places, characters and everyday situations – even touching on moments of censorship. The compositions, at times chaotic, explore a sensory language that blends observation and imagination. The session follows this visual and reflective journey, challenging the viewer, through a blank page, to embark on a journey guided by the curious – yet sometimes forgotten – gaze of a child.
