Family Support

O Centro de Apoio Familiar, on Rua da Rosa, is a community-open facility providing a set of services and activities focused on the prevention of social exclusion and the improvement of the quality of life of individuals and families in situations of social vulnerability. As the outcome of an approach based on relationships of closeness, it operates as a resource centre that provides a supportive context to facilitate intervention.

The services and activities offered at the Centro de Apoio Familiar (CAF) aim to meet the basic needs identified and, at the same time, promote the development of competencies in individuals so as to support their autonomy:

• Food support
• Shower facilities
• Laundry
• Lojinha / CAF@CASA
• Sociocultural Activities
• School Support
• Languages Workshop
• Occupational Workshop
• Skills development space
• Employment and Housing space
• Information and Awareness-raising sessions

• Be a resident of Lisbon;
• Be aged 65 or under, unless technical assessment indicates otherwise.

Applications to the Family Support Centre are submitted by Santa Casa's services or by other entities in the city of Lisbon, through a referral form, which will be made available whenever requested.
