During May 2025, the Museu de São Roque organised the ‘A Obra Eleita’ initiative, a participatory event that invited the public to choose their favourite work from a selection of 20 iconic pieces from the Treasury of the Chapel of St John the Baptist. Visitors responded with great enthusiasm and engagement. Recognising the importance and success of this vote, the Museum will dedicate 2026 to organising activities that highlight this and other selections from the Treasury of the Chapel of St John the Baptist. The next edition will be dedicated to the relics of the São Roque Collection, inviting the public to discover, appreciate and choose the piece that most moves and represents them.
