There are treasures in my home too! | Families with children aged 6 to 12

“There are treasures in my home too!” is an activity designed to introduce families to the world of heritage, inviting children aged 6 to 12 to become junior museum curators. Each family brings an old object from home — a photograph, a toy, a household item, something with a story behind it — and, using this, explores its sentimental, cultural and historical value. Through discoveries, conversations and shared memories, each family transforms their object into a documented “treasure”, realising that heritage also lives within their own homes.
