The Museum Visits Schools

This activity, inspired by the collections of the Museu de São Roque, invites children to immerse themselves in the world of art and history — without leaving the classroom! To begin with, the children are shown images and interactive resources that reveal some of the secrets of the Museu de São Roque. In the second stage, the school visits the museum; having already familiarised themselves with the content, the children visit the Museu de São Roque itself, turning theory into a real-life experience. As they explore the physical spaces, they observe the original works and take part in fun activities that reinforce and expand on the knowledge they have acquired.
