Belém Book Festival

The Belém Book Festival takes place in the gardens of the Presidential Palace in Lisbon, with Edições da Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa (SCML) once again taking part. This important initiative to promote reading, culture and books takes place from 17 to 20 September, marking a new edition of the event which the President of the Republic, António José Seguro, has decided to continue. The Belém Palace will once again be a venue for celebrating books, reading and bringing together Portuguese-speaking readers and authors. As in previous years, the programme includes panel discussions, live interviews, presentations of new literary releases, concerts and open-air film screenings, as well as areas dedicated to children and young people, and outdoor seating and catering facilities.
