In seventeenth-century France, during the reign of Louis XIV, the acclaimed viola da gamba master Monsieur de Sainte Colombe lives solely for music. A man of few words and prone to fits of anger, he devotes himself tirelessly to his instrument, withdrawing into the solitude of his cabin. Since the death of his wife, in whose memory he composed Le Tombeau des Regrets, he has lived alone with his two daughters, whom he taught music from an early age. One day, he receives a visit from a seventeen-year-old musician, Marin Marais, who wishes to study under the master.

THIS ACTIVITY TAKES PLACE EXCLUSIVELY IN PORTUGUESE.
