What stories and secrets does the legend of the origin of Chinese lanterns hold?
To discover the story and understand the reason behind this ancient tradition, we invite you to watch a shadow puppet show, in which a furious emperor orders a village to be set alight, but it is saved only by the cunning of a wise man and the mutual help of all the villagers.
In this activity, just like the villagers, we’ll learn how to make a Chinese lantern in which we’ll leave a message of good luck or a drawing for whoever finds it, and we’ll travel to China by visiting some of the museum’s galleries.
Shadow theatre with a visit to the museum and an art activity.
