Placard lends its name to the Cândido de Oliveira Super Cup
The competition’s new naming sponsor has been revealed, further strengthening the partnership between the Jogos Santa Casa and the Portuguese Football Federation. The trophy is on display in the Departamento de Jogos’s window.

Placard, a brand of Jogos Santa Casa, is the new main sponsor of the Cândido de Oliveira Super Cup, which will now be known as the Cândido de Oliveira Placard Super Cup, in a move that consolidates the partnership between Jogos Santa Casa and the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF).
To mark this development, former Portuguese players Nélson and Maniche were in attendance on Monday 20 July at the Jogos Santa Casa headquarters on Avenida da Liberdade in Lisbon, where the competition trophy will be on display until next Friday.
For Ricardo Lavos, director of Jogos Santa Casa, this partnership “places Placard in its natural environment: alongside the fans, right from the start”.
For his part, João Medeiros Cardoso, director of FPF Comercial, emphasises that “Placard’s association with this competition reinforces its prestige and demonstrates Jogos Santa Casa’s confidence in the Portuguese Football Federation’s project”.
This year’s Placard Cândido de Oliveira Super Cup will be contested between FC Porto and Torreense and is scheduled for 1 August at the Estádio Cidade de Coimbra.
