The Library's aim is to provide internal and external users with access to bibliographic resources and other documentary information needed for the study and research of topics related to the work of Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa — namely social action, health and education, among others.
It makes various types of bibliographic items available for users to consult.
Services
Santa Casa's Library offers a range of services to meet users' bibliographic and information needs:
- On-site consultation of books, newspapers and magazines;
- Reference service offering personalised support for bibliographic searches and use of technical and scientific information resources;
- Home loan;
- Inter-Library loan;
- Reproduction of documents may be requested by users, subject to the provisions of the Copyright and Related Rights Code and the proper preservation of the bibliographic items;
- Acquisition suggestions.
