About the training

Training aimed at young people (from age 15) and adults who want to develop skills and improve their academic and professional qualifications, through a training and certification response.

From a set of diagnostic activities, a training or certification programme is designed to match each person's needs/profile.

Training courses for young people
  • IT Operator T2 (starting on 2 September 2026)
Training courses for adults
  • Modular Training B3 – 9th Grade (starting on 1 September 2026)
  • Literacy and Integration Training (starting on 2 November 2026)
Courses for migrants and refugees

Modular Inclusion Pathways (200h of technological modules, 150h of PLA A1+A2 and 120h of internship) in the area of:

  • Cook (starting on 7 September 2026)
  • Housekeeping Assistant (starting on 21 September 2026)
  • Beauty Care (starting on 2 November 2026)

Enrolment

The Centros Qualifica are centres specialised in adult qualification, dedicated to the guidance and referral of adults aged 18 or over seeking educational or vocational certification, and are responsible for delivering processes for the recognition, validation and certification of skills acquired by adults over their lifetime.

Enrolment is at the Front Office (Rua Conde de Ficalho, no. 4A, 4B – 1700-114 Lisbon – tel. 218 413 010), the team responsible for receiving, screening, guiding and selecting all young people and adults seeking to join a training course.

Documentation:

  • Valid ID document (foreign citizens with regularised status);
  • Tax Identification Number;
  • Educational qualification certificate (original);
  • Minors must be accompanied by their guardian.

Application criteria

Available for young people aged 15 to 24 who meet the following conditions:

  • Year 6, Year 7 or attending Year 8 of compulsory education;
  • Year 9 or attending secondary level.

This training offer is available for active adults meeting the following conditions:

  • Aged 18 or over, with Year 9 schooling or above;
  • Aged 21 or over, with Year 12 schooling or above.

Modular school training courses

B1, B2 and B3

The Local Qualification-Promoting Projects, run under the Recovery and Resilience Plan, are aimed at adults with low qualification levels; they aim to promote qualifications at B1/B2/B3 level in order to deliver the National Adult Literacy Plan. They also aim to promote lifelong learning, increased literacy skills, access to formal education and effective improvement of qualifications, thereby strengthening the work of the Qualifica Programme.

Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa runs a Local Qualification-Promoting Project.

This training offer is available for active adults aged 18 or over, with schooling below Year 4, Year 6 or Year 9, or with training units already completed in incomplete pathways or validated through an RVCC process.

Application criteria

This training offer is available for active adults meeting the following conditions:

  • Aged 18 or over, who have not attended the 1st cycle of basic education, or who, having attended it, do not demonstrate basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills;
  • Aged 18 or over, with low school skills, difficulties in joining the job market and a need to develop personal and social skills;
  • Aged 18 or over, from Year 4 onwards, with the intention/profile of joining the job market.

Recognition, Validation and Certification of Skills Process

RVCC

The Qualifica Accelerator is an incentive granted to adults who complete an academic or professional qualification through the recognition, validation and certification of skills (RVCC) process, provided they meet the eligibility conditions. The aim is to help improve adults' qualifications, through their participation and certification in RVCC processes, by means of financial support following full certification.

Application criteria

This training offer is available for active adults aged 18 or over who wish to improve their academic qualifications at basic or secondary level.

The referral of candidates up to and including age 21 is conditional on their having at least three years of duly evidenced professional experience.
